Volunteer Opportunities
The University Hospital Foundation's special events are made possible by the time and talents of our dedicated volunteers. Volunteering with the University Hospital Foundation is an exciting and rewarding opportunity that matches individuals with their interests. Our mission is to inspire philanthropy to support innovation and excellence at the University of Alberta Hospital site and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.
Volunteer roles may include: Event set up and tear down, guest registration and services, and auction supervision.

University Hospital Foundation 2012 - 2013 Special EventsIn February, join the University Hospital Foundation and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute for Heart Pledge Day - 630CHED Radiothon and Shaw TV Telethon. In 2010, the Fifth Annual Heart Pledge Day was broadcast live from the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute from 6am to 10pm. This 16 hour event raised over $100,000 for high priorities at the heart institute as well as public awareness across central and northern Alberta.
Volunteer roles: operate phone bank by answering phone calls and filling out pledge forms.

We will contact you for next year's event.For more information visit www.HeartPledgeDay.caOn Sunday, September 23rd join hundreds of runners at the Edmonton Heartbeat Run - the last great run of the year! This race includes a 1km fun run, 5km walk/run and a 10km run. 410 runners and walkers participated in 2011 for this annual event that raised over $13,000 in support of the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.
Volunteer roles: site set up/tear down, athlete registration, aid stations, start/finish line crews, volunteer registration, food and beverage area, information booth lost/found.

This premiere evening of the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival features an all-inclusive ticket to enjoy high-end wine, spirits and beer, as well as a silent-auction offering one-of-a-kind items and experiences!
Volunteer roles: process guest tickets, silent auction monitors and runners, guest relations, name tag creators and helpers.
