The Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Society
Supporting burn treatment care at the University of Alberta Hospital

Founded in 1977, the Edmonton Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Society has donated more than $10 million dollars towards the Edmonton Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Unit at the University of Alberta Hospital.

Featuring firefighters from Edmonton Fire Rescue, Strathcona County Emergency Services, St. Albert Fire Services and Canadian Forces Base Edmonton Garrison, the goal of the Society is to raise funds and awareness for research, treatment and recovery of fire-related injuries.

Through their efforts, patients receive some of the highest level of burn care in all of North America. The funds the Firefighters’ Burn Treatment Society raise are directed to state of the art equipment, research and recruitment of highly qualified medical staff in the unit.
