The University Hospital Foundation is committed to maintaining its positive reputation within the community and encourages external stakeholders and members of the community to bring any concerns directly to the Foundation.

All complaints are documented and forwarded to the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, with the exception of complaints involving personal injury or legal risk (reviewed by the Executive Finance and Investment Committee), and complaints regarding medical care at the University of Alberta Hospital or other affiliates of the Foundation (these will be reviewed by the appropriate institution promptly and in confidence).

Steps will be taken to resolve each complaint within reasonable limits. University Hospital Foundation leadership will determine what reasonable action can be taken to resolve the complaint, including whether or not the Board of Trustees will be briefed on the issue.

The Foundation’s treatment of all complaints, including contact and conversations, shall be presented to the Board of Trustees annually for review.
